Online Trainings

This page contains online trainings for various topics. Please check back often as we will continue to add additional training tools.

Many new on-line tools have been created that will help your teachers become familiar with MAP data. These tools will be valuable to the district in bringing new teachers up-to-date on using MAP data to guide instruction and to help veteran teachers extend and deepen their knowledge of the data.

MAP 101
Developed by John Woodin, Dubuque CSD
jwoodindbq1@mchsi.com
This course is designed specifically for new teachers who are unfamiliar with MAP data or teachers who desire an intense review.

MAP 101 Link

Directions:
-Click "create a new account" at the upper right.
-You will need to enter a username, password and your email address.
-You will receive an email with a link. Click on the link to return to the class site.
-Click on MAP 101 and enter the key code "together".
-You can do as much or as little of the class as you wish. You can post comments to the forums, take the "lessons" and/or take the final. Don't worry about the results...no one will see them but John, and if you miss a question, hell assume you did so on purpose!
Registration/Course Fulfillment:

-Principal who has teachers he/she wants to take the course sends an email to John (jwoodindbq1@mchsi.com) with the list of teacher names and emails.
-John will send the link to the course to each teacher on the list. The link email will also have instructions on how to register for the course.
-Each teacher sends John an email when they have completed the course. This email would have the email address of the principal/administrator who will receive confirmation that the teacher has completed the course.
-John checks the course grades to verify that the teachers have completed the course and sends a confirmation email to the proper principal/administrator.
